Tracy Dreeke

Hello families! My name is Tracy Dreeke. I am so excited to be starting my 13th year at Bailey! I am an Army brat who moved around a lot as a child. I consider Texas to be my home state because I lived there for 23 years of my life. I have a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies and a Masters in Elementary Education from Sierra Nevada College. It is my goal to provide a caring, nurturing, and academically challenging environment for students. I believe that the environment for learning is equally important as the skills taught. I hope to prepare students for success, both inside and outside of the classroom.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband, reading, playing with my dogs, hanging out with friends and family, and watching the Golden Knights play. (Go Knights Go!) I look forward to working with my second-grade team and building a love of learning with all my students!

From there, we relocated to California where I grew up in the OC.  I graduated from California State Northridge with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Development and a multiple-subject teaching credential with a CLAD emphasis. From there, I transferred to Chapman University where I received my Master’s Degree in Education along with an Administrative Credential. This will be my 9th year with CCSD. I have taught grades K, 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 7th grade English Composition and 8th grade GATE Drama. My favorite is elementary education, so I am excited to be teaching at Bailey! I’ve been teaching 2nd grade for 13 of my 20 amazing years. Each year every one of my classes become my family, they are just that special to me! There isn’t anything I wouldn’t do to see them reach their full potential. Go, Broncos!!

I have a 32 yr. old son and a 10 yr. old grandson, who both live in California, but visit quite often. My hobbies are reading fiction, water-color painting and writing novels. I also love gardening and all animals, especially German Shepherds and Golden Retrievers. I can’t wait to meet you, future students and families, and look forward to watching all of you exceed your goals and become the second-grade superstars you are meant to be!
